I'm with Gabriela: I haven't set resolutions. I diverge from her, however, in that I have set a few goals. I've not done that for a couple of years and I've drifted a bit. In good ways, sometimes, but I feel I need a bit of focus this year.

What's new for me this year is that I chose a theme: Be More Me! I'm interested in so many things that it's easy for me to stray from doing the things that are really important to me (long term) and that make me the most happy. So this year, that's my new yardstick for making decisions and taking on projects: is it "me"? Is it one of the things that truly make me happy? If so, I'll take it on, work like a dog and have a great time doing so. Otherwise: I'll be saying 'nope'.

Bess, I totally understand your goal! I did so much editing, beta reading, and slush reading last year that I only read a handful myself, and one of those didn't even get finished (granted, I was tackling the Arabian Nights Entertainments, but still...)

My resolution is the same as yours. I dusted off my Kindle and cracked open my first book yesterday... hopefully it will also give me a lot of new creative energy, so I can pick up my own pen again, at long last!
