My 2016 writing wins…I started a bi-weekly podcast with another writer, sat on some panels at a local sci-fi convention, did my first book signing, had a couple of short stories published, attended the RMFW Colorado Gold conference, and set up two local talk/signings for next year so far. Lots of good “business of writing” stuff, but my actually writing was lacking compared to previous years. 2017 will hopefully be the year I finish and start pitching book # 2.

Hooray for a committed successful writing schedule! That’s a huge win!

My writing win for 2016 was finishing Draft #3 (editing / light revising) – not just before the end of the year, but in 7 months! That’s the fastest of any of my drafts so far, and I’m pretty sure it’s because of the change in my writing schedule (3 weeknights each week, plus weekends when I’m home). It’ll be interesting to see how that schedule will impact my new writing project when I start it in January, but I’m excited that it worked out so well.
