I’m winding up years of research on my NF work in progress, 175 interviews with 4 generations of opera tenors, other singers plus directors, conductors, composers… I’ve been politely turned down, curtly turned down, ignored. But I’ve also been astonished by the generosity of time and sharing thoughts when I’ve met all these people in person for face-to-face interviews.
