It’s really important not to do things just because somebody told you to but because you’ve examined your options and decided this is the best one.

I think I’m pretty good at the ‘whys’. I’m very specific about using the social media I like to spread the word about other things I like. I don’t just follow other people’s advice. I’m not even really on Facebook–I have an account, but it’s just sitting around barely used. I’m a Twitterer and a blogger and that’s that. Why? Because those are the things I enjoy.
