I loved this interview. I'm currently trying to write my first novel. I spent a long time thinking and learning before I got up the nerve to write, and I got a little frustrated because I couldn't figure out where my idea fit. It was fascinating to hear how Sebastien thought of his novel in a less traditional genre, and how swashbuckling tales can go beyond the traditional 18th century sword fighting. I'm now thinking that is the element that my own novel needed for the overall mood and attitude to click for me.

p.s. My name is Christen, sorry for the disqus account which I usually use for snarky political blogs!
