Theme: A Story’s Soul Columnist

Sara Letourneau began reading at age 5 and started writing as soon as she learned how to hold a crayon. Her first stories featured talking animals, strange lands, and best friends going on adventures. She hasn’t stopped writing since.

Today, Sara is a poet and freelance editor/writing coach based in Massachusetts. Her poetry has been featured in in numerous literary journals, including Amethyst Review, Canary, Muddy River Poetry Review, and Soul-Lit, as well as two print anthologies. She also enjoys reading her work at open mic nights in the Greater Boston area.

As for her freelance work, Sara launched Heart of the Story Editorial & Coaching Services in February 2019. She offers a variety of packages for manuscript editing (manuscript critiques, developmental editing, line / copy editing, etc.) and coaching for writers. Currently she’s taking editing clients with manuscripts in speculative fiction, literary fiction, or YA, though she’s open to other genres as well.
