I also started writing my first novel at 12. I'm 19 now, and revising it before pursuing publishing it. In that time, I've written about 4 series and a stand alone book. One of those series is a historical romance and about 10 books long. This list has greatly helped my with my other revisions, and was very well written. Now, however, I must get back to my poetry. I will look into reading your book, whenever I stop feeling so lazy and actually drive to Barnes and Noble.

Great Tips!!!!

One thing I would add is: Do the research on weapons! Swords, firearms, whatever. Techniques for using them and their differences. Yes, if you're doing steampunk, you can play a little, but it still has to be plausible.

The other is: Do the research on travel times and modes of travel. It took longer than you think to get from one place to another.

And I'm really looking forward to your next book, Leanna! Hope to see you at RWA National!
